Responsibilities of Unit Manager Maternity Complex

• To lead and manage the nursing team in the provision of patient-centric and evidence based nursing care, operational efficiency and positive patient experiences.
• To provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team.
• To ensure evidence based patient care practices are followed as per clinical standards.
• To ensure positive patient experiences by developing employees and creating an environment that enables team engagement.
• To manage allocated clinical and non-clinical resources in a cost efficient and effective manner to enhance safe patient care.
• To monitor and manage compliance with legislative, regulatory and clinical standards to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Eligibility Criteria

For the role of Unit Manager Maternity Complex, at Mediclinic, the following is required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery; OR Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery AND Bachelor or Nursing; OR Bachelor or Nursing AND post graduate or Master’s Degree in Obstetric and Gynecology or Maternal Nursing is a must have.
• Master of Science in Midwifery or related Healthcare field is desirable.
• At least 3-5 years’ senior nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital.
• 5-10 years senior nursing experience is a plus.
