Job Description

Transformation Tech Delivery Finance Lead at Chalhoub Group in Unit GS, 075, Financial Center Rd, Downtown Dubai, Dubai, UAE will be responsible for providing technical leadership as well as ensuring the successful implementation of the Finance ERP solutions in the scope of the Transformation program. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 20000-45000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Finance Lead

  • Handle the technical delivery of the Finance scope, ensuring designs reflect business requirements, effective solution governance has been applied. Rigorous testing has completed and a solid plan is in place to transition said solutions to ‘business as usual’.
  • Manage and coordinate across cross-functional internal business and technology teams, as well as large numbers of external personnel provided by system integrators.
    Provide expert guidance on the SAP ERP solution architecture, integration, and technical design across the workstream.
  • Ensure alignment of the ERP implementation with the Group’s broader Tech strategy and architecture roadmap. (i.e. advances and changes in taxation requirements, transfer pricing policies, Treasury evolution and payments landscape, latest finance processes and controls.) By maintaining connection and alignment to the Group Tech and Finance teams plans.
  • Collaborate with functional and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Lead the design and development of the technical aspects of the SAP ERP system, including configurations, customizations, and system integrations.
  • Work with the Transformation Program Architecture team to ensure that the solution adheres to best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Prepare and submit change requests in alignment with Business Process Owners and Architects, representing technical elements of these changes in relevant Change Boards.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, system integrators, and SAP consultants to ensure timely and quality delivery of technical solutions.
  • Oversee the performance of third-party vendors and ensure that they deliver in accordance with contractual commitments.
  • Lead the integration of SAP ERP with existing systems, third-party applications, and other technologies in use by the Group.

What you will do more

  • Identify the transition states and interim integrations to legacy systems that may be required, and work with Group Tech team. To agree on the resources and expertise needed to deliver (Oracle EBS, Oracle EPM, FIS Integrity).
  • Manage the internal and external resources required to enable the above changes.
  • Coordinate with other Tech leads from different workstreams to ensure smooth and seamless data flows across the system landscape.
  • Align the data migration strategy for the functional workstream, ensuring accurate and secure data transfer from legacy systems to SAP ERP.
  • Pro-actively identify where changes from legacy to new ERP may create a large amount of data transformation and migration efforts and flag accordingly.
  • Work closely with data teams to ensure that data structures, formats, and quality standards are meet.
  • Provide functional expertise to ensure that the roles proposed as part of IAM fit business needs and balance business usability and governance/control.
  • Provide knowledge of business processes and system capabilities to inform the correct sequencing of cutover and release plans.
  • Ensure that cutovers and the implications on business processes (i.e. freeze periods) are well understood and communicated back to business functions.

Requirements for Role of Finance Lead

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in technology implementation and management, which includes being a functional lead or in a similar role in large-scale transformation programs.
  • Hold a PMP, ITIL, or ERP certifications.
  • Experience working with ERP and enterprise systems, preferably SAP, in design, deployment, testing, and support.
  • Experienced in managing large hybrid teams comprised of internal and external resources. As well managing external vendors to a budget / target and ensuring close scope management.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Strong understanding of business processes and how they support by ERP systems.
  • Possess strong leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
