Job Description

There’s an open role for a Telephone Operator at Park Rotana in Abu Dhabi, and if you’ve got a friendly voice, good focus, and hotel or customer service experience, it might be a fit. It’s a full-time, on-site job, and the hours are steady. As a Telephone Operator you’ll mostly be on calls picking up internal and guest calls, transferring lines, giving info, helping people connect with the right department, and logging messages clearly.The hotel’s front desk team is busy, and this role helps keep everything running behind the scenes. You’ll also handle wake-up calls, make sure names are used correctly when answering, and be the first voice a guest hears  so, they’re looking for someone with good energy and tone. Experience with Opera software is helpful but not a must. A hotel or front office background is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Take incoming calls — speak clearly, stay polite.
  • Transfer calls to the right department without delay.
  • Greet guests by name when possible that’s part of the brand.
  • Log wake-up calls, long-distance calls, and internal notes.
  • Stay connected with other departments to make sure requests are handled.
  • Leave messages accurately and deliver them when needed.
  • Keep an eye on the switchboard to make sure it’s working properly.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Diploma or degree in hospitality is useful but not required.

Experience

  • Experience in a hotel or customer service role helps.
  • If you’ve worked front desk or in a similar setup, that’s a bonus.

Skills

  • Polite phone manners.
  • Comfortable speaking in English.
  • Can listen and speak at the same time (basically, multitasking).
  • Computer use and basic typing.
  • Voice clarity and tone awareness.
  • Steady under pressure.
