Telecom Maintenance Engineer Etisalat Abu Dhabi

Etisalat is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the role of Telecom Maintenance Engineer in Abu Dhabi. This is a mid to senior level full time career opportunity and desirous candidates meeting the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities Of Telecom Maintenance Engineer

• Field maintenance of Core Network including mobile core and transmission etc.
• Carries out simple and routine provision/maintenance & fault rectification tasks.
• Attends assigned major/non-routine tasks with minimal supervision.
• Attends planned/hazardous & outages related to Core, Access & Fiber networks.
• Carryout Access Network Maintenance activities and carry out the O&M of all equipment’s and systems efficiently, systematically and in accordance with the instructions / guidelines of Manufacturers, Suppliers, International Telecom Regulatory / Professional Organizations as well as the policies/procedures of ETISALAT and meet the KPI’s.
• Supports to prepare various Reports for Management such as replacement Report, PM Report, Snag report, KPI report etc.
• Follows up on shift-wise reports of system faults as required.
• Supports other field staff in performing the required rectification/maintenance tasks in complex cases.

What You Will Do More

• Coordinates effectively with all relevant stake holders to resolve O&M issues/concerns.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of all test equipment and tools and their use by field staff as per standards and support field staff on troubleshooting using test equipment’s.
• Assists in compiling the requirement of tools, test equipment, stores and spares.
• Ensures that guidelines relating to the safety and security are complied with by his team as per E& and Customer HSE requirements.
• Update Spares and Buffer stocks used by his team using the Inventory Management system.
• Lead the field team, establish priority of assigned activities and complete within set SLA / KPI by utilizing the resources most effectively.
• Snags creation, verification & rectification for Civil Snags, ACWL, EOM, Structure, Telecom…. etc., and update as applicable.
• Reports incidents based on site visits & provide relevant details to Manager for follow up with concerned sections for Police Report / Insurance claim.
• Verification of Site Assets and updating of Inventory and asset management system.
• Audit activities / JV with outsourced Contractor / managed services / contractor staff / External Authority & report for discrepancies observed.
• Able to carry out independent site visits & have Valid UAE Driving license.
• Attends to shift/call-out/remote-station duties on 24×7 basis as assigned.

Minimum Requirements 

The eligibility requirements for the role of Telecom Maintenance Engineer are as under:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical /Electronics /Telecom Engineering from Reputed University.
• 8 – 10 Years relevant experience.
