The role of Technology Department Manager at ADNOC is to lead, plan and manage all operations within the Technical Support function to drive the development of new products, review and make improvements to existing products based on information from customers, competitors, manufactures, professional associations and from the industry in general in order to ensure products are aligned with customer needs; whilst assuring the provision of comprehensive technical assistance/customer service to the sales teams, customers and agents regarding ADNOC Distribution products and after sales services to achieve optimum client satisfaction and customer loyalty. Duties Of Technology Department Manager

Production Plan

  • Conduct market research to understand the technical specifications of the products sold by competitors.
  • Provide recommendations to upgrade ADD products making them most economical, cost effective and competitive.
  • Provide recommendations for alternative sourcing and re-branding in order to provide competitive pricing and enhance brand awareness.
  • Conduct research on new products in market to develop new product range for ADD lubes including EV. Work on product range development and recommend to the lube business to put on the market.
  • Support technical issues, product quality, product conversion. Provide product recommendation to customers and assist any technical issues related to lubricants.
  • Provide products knowledge online and offline trainings to relevant stakeholders. Support team in terms of B2B product enquiry.
  • Support on lubricant artwork in term of technical content / lubricant product review / Content to be posted on social media.
  • Ensure the toll blender is able to match the production quality that is desired. Ask for ways the toll blenders make sure that production quality is ensured.
  • Oversee the toll blending process from beginning to end, ensuring the final product is according to the provided specifications.
  • Provide technical insights to customers and if required conduct inspections for customer’s equipment’s to recommend the right product.
  • Deliver finished product as per agreed timelines whilst taking care of quality control as per standards set.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external entities such as clients, local, international and government authorities etc. with highest standards of business ethics.
  • Promptly attending to all critical issues in-order to ensure the delivery of the services required by the organization in the most effective manner.

Requirements For Technology Department Manager

The eligibility requirements for the role of Technology Department Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in Sales operations, of which at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the retail sector or in a similar environment.
  • At least 12 years of experience in lube technical operations, of which at least 6 years in a managerial role, preferably in the retail sector or in a similar environment.
  • Multi-functional operational management experience.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Deep knowledge of business workflows, operations processes and systems.
  • Experience of developing strategic plans for service-based industry.
  • Strong experience in project management and the execution of complex projects that are critical to the delivery of business strategies and goals.
  • Regional exposure and retail background are a plus.
  • Innovative and conceptual thinking.
  • Highly skilled in aligning goals with strategic direction.
  • In depth knowledge of ADNOC Distribution’s business objectives, operations and of the regional laws and regulations.
