Dubai Ports (DP) World presently has a job opening for eligible candidate for position of a Technician. The selected candidate will be responsible to carry out repair/maintenance work at DPW reefer/cooling systems. Job Purpose of A Technician

To diagnose, repair and maintain reefer and general cooling equipment or systems to ensure proper functionality.

Job Duties of A Technician

• Gain experience in all aspects of workplace related practices and DP World safety standards.
• Ensure accurate fault diagnosis and effective utilization of time allocated for the repairs.
• Report to team leader of any delays in repairs due to unavailability of parts or any other reason.
• Ensure all additional repairs are authorized or parts are booked to the repair order.
• Develop skills and build on knowledge to carry out planned maintenance on all items related to Reefer and general cooling systems.
• To learn to provide maximum operational availability of equipment by conducting periodic diagnostic work and repairs.
• To keep the Supervisor and other experienced technicians informed of progress & problems to ensure smooth flow of communication.
• To maintain tidiness and cleanliness of workshop facilities or work areas and all equipment thereby creating a safe and healthy work environment.
• Gain knowledge and hands on experience on how to carry out fault diagnosis on the equipment and ascertain the cause of defects, repair methods, and spare part requirements.
• Obtain technical information from the manufactures parts and technical manuals.
• Be able to carry out the above duties with guidance and supervision of more experienced technicians and independently where applicable.
• Start on a foundation to build on knowledge across DPW Engineering sections, inclusive of plant & crane as well as mechanical and electrical works.

Qualification & Experience

• High School Diploma.
• 2-3 years of previous proven experience.
