Technical Support Engineer GAL UAE

Technical Support Engineer at GAL in Khalifa City, Sector 33, Abu Dhabi, UAE will provides support for diagnosing, reproducing and fixing software and hardware issues. Troubleshoot protocols running on client hardware to assist customer with problem isolation and resolution. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-20000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Technical Support Engineer

• Provide timely and effective IT related user support for the customer.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve common networking issues.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve common software issues.
• Meet critical deadlines and be able to finalize goals within timely fashion.
• Resolve customer problems on timely manner.
• Provide windows framework troubleshooting.
• Mentor and assign tasks to other team members as needed.
• Ensure that IT services & resources are available on constant basis.
• Install & support data recovery.
• Resolve issues within the department that hinders work progress in anyway.
• Take on additional duties and responsibilities relating to IT as designated by the supervisor/manager.
• Providing remote support to various teams in different locations.

Requirements for Role of Technical Support Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Must have valid Microsoft Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Expert (MSCE) ,A+
• Cisco, HP CompTIA or other relevant certifications will be advantage.
• Minimum of 5 Years experience as hardware Technical Support (or similar responsibilities).
• Minimum of 5Years experience in network, hardware & software.
• Experienced in managing multiple network sites ensuring constant availability of resources.
• Strong experience and understanding in solving software and hardware issue.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

Working knowledge of SAN, Virtualization, networking, TCP/IP, RAID, back up & recovery, LAN/WAN.
