Technical Supervisor Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab Dubai

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Supervisor to join the Engineering team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The job holder will be responsible to oversees maintenance and repair operations within a hotel, ensuring the smooth functioning of equipment, facilities, and utilities to meet safety, operational, and guest satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities of Technical Supervisor

• Supporting to set up the function and role during Pre-Opening phase.
• Working closely between the Hotel and Residences to support any operational needs
• Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the engineering functions.
• To ensure that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order through the implementation of the “Jumeirah Engineering Management System” and the appointment of suitable competent personnel.
• Ensure conducting daily briefings.
• Supervises the daily activities of all Engineering Department team leaders and subordinates.
• Observes activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures.
• Handles grievances, suggestions, and complaints by colleagues and recommends appropriate action to the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer.
• Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.
• To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.
• To ensure that regular meetings with external service providers are conducted.

Requirements of Technical Supervisor 

• Higher diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Ideally Pre-Opening experience, experience on setting up any related systems or structures in the role | department.
• Minimum of 5 Years in a Five star Hotel environment.
• 5 to 8 years supervisory experience in a similar position.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Able to work with tight deadlines and under pressure due to intensive preopening phase.
• Good verbal and written English skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer maintenance management systems.
