Job Description

Technical Procurement Manager at Etihad Airways will be responsible to manage supply chain functions for supporting operations including procurement and pool contracts management to achieve set SLA for Technical’ s Operations in most cost-effective manner.  Candidate will lead and guide a team to ensure all aspects of supply chain including purchase, sales and pool contracts control and to support lease return activities and adhoc projects.

Responsibilities of Technical Procurement Manager

  • To set and monitor controls for procuring the spares and invoice approvals are actioned timely in most cost-effective manner to support operations.
  • To assist in new contract creation and manage contract administration by timely amendment, renewal of contracts, contract approval forms and creating contract summaries for the ongoing contracts
  • To review and endorse the most optimum spares procurement option to support new fleet induction and the lease return requirements for exiting fleet.
  • To prepare annual budgeted spend and ensure timely budget utilization along with spend monitoring.
  • Engage with vendors & build a strong relationship based on regular meetings and review of SLA for all Supply Chain activities.
  • Ensure timely registration for new and existing vendors in all relevant systems.
  • Provide timely feedback on the queries related to contracts and ERP System (AMOS) transactions.
  • To liaise with Inventory control team to endorse the scrap replenishment, procurement and sales of Inventory.
  • Assist Senior Manager Supply Chain Operations to develop and maintain up to date the departmental manuals (TPMs & Technical’ s Asset Management Policy) to ensure compliance with regulators and organizational requirements.
  • Develop, establish and manage relationship with key strategic partners such as aircraft manufacturers, OEMs, component pool providers, repair vendors and spare parts suppliers to ensure the asset management strategy is effectively implemented and operations are supported.
  • Lead and develop a team of officers & ensure internal talents are developed by means of coaching, mentoring & exposure.
  • Ensure to support any projects assigned by SMTAM to achieve department goals.
  • Work with suppliers and have a process in place to measure effective performance, quality and compliance.

Requirements for Role of Technical Procurement Manager

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Engineering and preferably 2-3 years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience & tracked record in Supply Chain Operations management, Purchase and Sales management and Pool and Spares contract negotiation and control.
  • Strategic & tactical thinking, analytical mind and cost management experience are require.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Expert level knowledge of technical manuals like IPC, ITM and MPD
  • Familiar with OEM support contracts like SSC and PSAA along with lease return requirements.
  • Organized individual with strong project management skills who can prioritize tasks & take initiative to ensure delivery of the task.
  • Strong business acumen and effective relationship builder.
  • People’s focused person with ability to lead, organize & guide operational teams & set a high performing team culture.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
