Job Description

Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) is presently hiring skilled candidate for the job role a Team Lead Material Control & Planning. The successful candidate will analyze and coordinate the logistical functions of Group. Responsible for Logistics oversite of all operational positions concerned with directing, developing and performing specific mission operations; aircraft, and other designated programs. Training subordinates in logistics functions. Identifying requirement for funding, manpower, facilities maintenance and supplies and services. The Supervisor is accountable for actively overseeing , but is not limited to ensuring all items are received in the logistics system in good condition; traceability is secured; documentation and handling of product is in accordance to published procedures; products are stored and preserved appropriately; as well as periodic and annual cycles counts (inventory), as required.

Duties of Team Lead Material Control & Planning

  • Manager storage space utilization and develop locations system and care of supply in storage.
  • Resolves the issues related to storage, safety, and HAZMAT Storage.
  •  Ensure items are transported efficiently to repair organizations or facilities inside or outside the customer location.
  • Supervise and implement cost saving strategies for procurement, establishing ROP’s, and stockades levels while increasing productivity in warehousing and shipping operations.
  • Decision-making that requires strategic thinking, data analysis, and coordinating with department or other sections.
  • Implements regulations and policies to improve logistics functions.
  • Implement and oversee asset management and asset visibility functions.
  • Ensure tools, parts and equipment are tracked, repaired / calibrated, located and inspected in accordance with required regulations.
  • Generate reports for tracking and accounting for payments, shipping, procurement, property accountability, and warehouse stock.
  • Manage SDR reporting of items delivered to the logistics department.
  • Review and monitor company quality and safety standards regularly and ensure standards are communicate, implemented and monitored by logistics team leadership and employees.
  • Prepare effective and timely performance evaluations, conduct reviews, disciplinary actions and facilitate additional training or mentoring as, needed, driving maximum productivity and quality of processes, systems and procedures, in accordance with policies.

What You Will Do More

  • Conduct regular employee meetings, and attend company-sponsored meetings or training, as required.
  • Train subordinates in logistics functions. Recognize the strong and weak attributes of subordinates.
  • Plan and order spares from approved suppliers based on demands from maintenance.
  • Maintain and improve service to the customer by ensuring materials are available for operational requirements.
  • Meet operational budget for spares.
  • Monitor stock accountability and requisitions before it becomes an AOG or critical situation to avoid delay in maintenance repairs due to parts unavailability.
  • Working with personnel from Maintenance Planning, Production Planning, Operations, Engineering, Finance, IT for all planning related actions.
  • Coordinate with QC for inspection of parts after repair.
  • Ensure incoming products are traceable, stocked appropriately, preserved according to quality standards, all in accordance with companies standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure monthly cyclic inventories and checks are perform.
  • Monitor all Shelf Life Items, Inspections, Expiry, Preservation, Calibration due dates, O/H, etc.
  • Compile and submit regularly scheduled and random inventory management reports, as required.
  • Maintain and monitor the Key Control Program.
  • Ensures all aspects of an efficient property book is maintain in support of the command supply discipline program (CSDP).
  • Continually monitors and reports issues with sensitive and highly value equipment.

Eligibility Requirements for the Role of Team Lead Material Control & Planning

The requirements for job role of Team Lead Material Control & Planning are as under:

  • High School Diploma, Certifications and practical experience or High School Diploma with years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or relevant field is preferred; or combination of college course work.
  • Minimum of 8 Years Experience in aircraft supply operations and in multiple functions of warehouse and/or inventory management departments.
  • Minimum of 4 years Supervisory Experience.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and associate program is a plus.
  • Must have hands on training of automated supply systems.
  • Operated a forklift within a warehouse environment.
