Key Responsibilities for Teaching Assistant

Assist teachers in delivering daily classroom activities and structured learning sessions
Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development through guided interaction
Help prepare learning materials and maintain an organized classroom environment
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and other routine activities
Encourage positive behavior and assist in implementing classroom management strategies
Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all children
Collaborate with teachers and staff to support overall nursery operations

Qualifications

A university degree or Cache Level 2 qualification is preferred for this role
Candidates with a high school certificate and relevant early childhood experience may also be considered
Previous experience working in a nursery, school, or early years setting is highly valued
Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with young children
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to different classroom needs
A patient and supportive approach to child development and learning
