Responsibilities of Teacher Assistant

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities that meet the educational needs of students.
• Provide individualized attention and support to students who may require additional assistance with assignments or learning tasks.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, and other school related events to ensure their safety and well being.
• Assist with classroom management by reinforcing positive behavior, maintaining discipline, and addressing any disruptive behavior or conflicts.
• Help prepare instructional materials, displays, and learning aids to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to assess student progress, identify learning goals, and develop strategies for academic improvement.
• Participate in parent teacher conferences, meetings, and school events to communicate student progress and address parent concerns or questions.
• Assist with administrative tasks, record keeping, and documentation related to student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
• Support the lead teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for students with functional needs or learning disabilities.
• Stay informed about educational trends, best practices, and relevant policies and regulations in the field of education.

Requirements of Teacher Assistant

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; associate or bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience of 1-2 years working with children or in an educational setting preferred but not required; we welcome candidates with a passion for working with young learners.
