Job Title

Teacher – Primary (Maternity Cover)

Responsibilities

  • Whip up lessons that get kids pumped to learn and grow.
  • Team up with colleagues to plan classes that hit curriculum targets.
  • Chat with parents to keep kids happy and acing their work.
  • Work with support staff to give every child a fair shot.
  • Deck out the classroom to spark curiosity and fun.
  • Plan sessions that fit all kids, from quick learners to those needing extra help.
  • Bring energy to teaching to keep students glued to lessons.
  • Use Target Tracker to check progress and tweak plans.
  • Reflect on what’s working in class and switch things up if needed.
  • Link up with specialists like speech therapists for student support.
  • Weave Yasmina’s values like creativity into every lesson.
  • Stick to the school’s behavior rules to keep classes on track.
  • Jump into school events, trips, or evening activities when needed.
  • Lead a weekly extracurricular club to spice up student life.

Requirements

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a PGCE or teaching qualification is non-negotiable. Extra certifications in primary teaching are a nice bonus.

Experience

1-2 years teaching primary school kids is required. Experience with English-as-a-second-language students gives you an edge.
