Job Purpose of A Tax Manager

  • Reports to Senior Director Financial Governance and Projects / Head of Group Finance.
  • Manager Taxation is responsible for compliance with all direct tax, indirect tax, international tax, transfer pricing and other tax laws applicable to Group.

Your Job Duties As A Tax Manager At  Mubadala Health Abu Dhabi (UAE)

Regulatory Tax compliance

  • Manage all applicable compliances including ESR, CbCR, VAT, upcoming Corporate Tax, BEPS Pillar Two, etc. including computation of tax, payment of tax and filing of returns.
  • Research, develop and implement tax saving strategies with special focus on movement of funds across the group in a tax efficient manner.
  • Liaise with the tax authorities for litigations and other tax compliance.
  • Managing tax audits, reviews and disputes in UAE and across other jurisdictions and preparing adequate documentation in response.
  • Support in assessing tax and transfer pricing impact on new transactions and provide timely advise as required.
  • Participate in due diligence and structuring related to new openings, mergers and acquisition.
  • Monitor updates on tax laws, research the implications of such new tax laws and advise on tax related issues.
  • Guide financial planning department to assess the tax consequences of annual operations and contracts in the business plans and financial models.
  • Support on special projects and adhoc requests such as internal audit of tax function, ICOFR compliance for the tax function

Systems Development & Maintenance

  • Ensuring processes and systems are reflective of and responsive to the needs of Group.
  • Capable of complying with tax regulatory requirements.
  • Initiating strategies in close coordination with the IT section for the upgrades to accounting systems and reviewing existing system for improvements to ensure compliance with the dynamic tax landscape of the group.
  • Prior experience / knowledge in Oracle and Hyperion tools is a plus.

Communication

  • Communicates effectively with various team members and maintain good inter functional liaison to ensure complete and accurate tax reporting.

What You’ll Need?

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Economics or Finance.
  • Chartered Accountant (or other relevant professional chartered qualification (e.g. CA, ACA, CPA) with 8-10 years of experience in tax compliance

Experience

  • 7-10  years of experience in Big 4 Tax team/ experience in handling corporate tax, TP and international tax.
  • Hands on experience in UAE taxes and other compliances like ESR, CbCR, Pillair Two including preparation, review and submission of returns and filings, dealing with the UAE Federal Tax Authority.
  • Prior experience working in a multi national tax environment.
  • Prior experience / knowledge in Oracle and Hyperion tools.
