Job Purpose of Support & Maintenance Engineer

• Deliver intelligences and solutions that would transform raw data into meaningful and useful information for applications or business analysis purposes. This job is not limited for transforming and loading data but also it includes data solution and design that facilitate business growth and advanced studies.
• Coordinate end to end project management activities for assigned project.
• Develop and implement ETL solutions based on business requirement and expansion strategy.
• Liaise with vendor to apply required patches/Bug fixes and enhancements.
• Maintain ETL platform and provide full support for system continuity.
• Responsible for UAT before implementation any data extraction logic change / improvement.
• Establish best practices and focus on continuous improvement.
• Ensure monthly submission of data to authority bodies after proper validation
• Review the rejected data/errors and coordinate with the respective departments for corrections.
• Ensure that reporting definitions are as per Data Dictionary and standards
• Establish mechanisms for Data Archival and masking sensitive data.
• Follow the mandatory and obligatory standards set by the management in delivering the services.
• Completion of the assigned tasks to satisfy the Users needs within agreed time frame.
• Submit the report on timely manner based on ITD policies, plans & procedures & attend to meetings as per work requirements & planning policies.

Duties of Support & Maintenance Engineer

• Analyzing Requirements & Gaps: Analyze the business and technical requirements from day to day activities/ problems including requests received from Users.
• System Evaluation: Evaluate different systems to automate the business area and prepare comparative study accordingly.
• Development and Testing: Development of ETL solutions that would support applications/business and match their data requirement.
• Systems or solution Implementation: Participate in systems implementation or solution deployment.
• Supporting business Users to translate ADIB business requirements to vendors
• Application Maintenance & Support: Provide first level support to all readymade Banking Systems and Financial Applications.
• Provide the maintenance & support to all Vendor applications.
• Monitor day to day business Application Systems problems / errors. Investigating the problems and resolving them.
• Documentation/Process Ownership: Take ownership, maintain & update documented processes or documentation related to job function.
• In the event where processes or documentation are shared, the incumbent shall be responsible to inform the owner of any document about required changes.
• Information Security: Maintain information security related to ADIB, throughout the period of employment.
• As soon as possible, report any potential or actual risks or incidents affecting the security of information to the helpdesk.
• Maintain risk free / controlled IT environment at ADIB.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years of IT experience in development, implementation, migration and support for the field of MIS / ETL & data management out of which preferred 2 years in Banking / Finance domain.
• Minimum 7+ years of proven experience and exceptionally deep practice with Informatica Power Center / BDM platform.
• Proven experience & strong understanding of SQL, relational database technologies, preferably Sybase, Oracle and MS SQL server.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Demonstrated analytical, data management and data quality skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts.
• Experience in regulatory and financial reporting.
