Supervisor in Business Applications Automotive at Alfahim in Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi, UAE will oversee, manage and coordinate the analysis, evaluation, development, testing and implementation of the Group’s business applications to ensure efficient functioning. Effectively translate all business unit requirements into IT solutions to automate processes across and enhance productivity by adding system controls, provide information accessibility and visibility to the management when needed. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-25000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Supervisor

  • Application Administration & Development: Effectively diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix bugs and malfunctions independently. Or in coordination with the vendor appropriately to prevent or minimize system down time affecting business efficiency.
  • Analyze and review applications data schemes to support reporting and business intelligence requirements.
  • System Maintenance: Analyze business systems to determine efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor and identify inadequacies/problems. Develop system specifications to recommend application software development.
  • Maintain current business applications to ensure smooth running and ensure availability at all times.
  • Ensure automation of business dashboards related to operations, standardization of relevant processes for Autoline, Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing etc.
  • End User Training: Conduct systems trainings for new users, refresher for existing and other functional training for introducing new application or application enhancement to ensure complete understanding for appropriate utilization of the application by the user.
  • Prepare process flow diagrams and drafts user manuals to ensure that clear guidelines are available to users.
  • Vendor Management: Identify suitable vendors and meet them jointly with the line manager to assess their services/products, select and finalize the appropriate service provider.
  • In coordination with the Procurement & Contracts Management department, assign the vendor to implement the new system/project within the set budget and timeframes.
  • Review annual maintenance contracts; negotiate pricing and delivery with vendors as per agreed service levels for contract renewal.
  • Innovation & Knowledge Management: Bring new ideas by using different channels like workshops, seminars and peer group to engage business to leverage knowledge management culture.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by sharing best practices related to business applications and experiences across the different business verticals of the Group.

What you will do more

  • Project Management: Serve as project lead in coordination with the line manager on applications development and enhancement related projects for the purpose of completing projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure objectives are met in time and standard quality results are delivered.
  • Team Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, coach, counsel, provide support and necessary tools to the team.
  • Create and ensure implementation of training plans and programs to enabling team to accomplish their tasks in efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the HR department/ senior manager for recruitment (internal/external) as required.

Requirements for Role of Supervisor

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Sciences.
  • Master Degree in Computer Engineering/Sciences is preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in IT. Out of which 3 years in managing business application’s implementation and maintenance in autoline.
