Job Description
Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) is presently hiring qualified and skilled candidate for the job role a Supervisor Aviation Logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for Logistics personnel in the areas of parts receipts, binning, picking, issuance exports and other warehouse activities. Responsible to store personnel updates & all necessary system transactions at every stage of material movement. Supervise the processing of Repair items.
Duties of Supervisor Aviation Logistics
- Provide update on all item received ensure this is properly inspect according to current policiy and procedure.
- Ensures all items received have the proper validation from end user if required prior to binning.
- Ensure all item demand is issue in a timely manner accompanied with the proper documentation if required.
- Handle the storage by ensuring all item is store in a proper location with the correct item label and within the standard temperature and humidity (incl. POL).
- Conducts regular check of expiring items and reports to the concerned parties.
- Makes sure that all system transaction is update in cMRO Oracle system.
- Conducts a regular Cycle Count or Inventory Checks as per agreed schedule.
- Reports and highlights all discrepancies to the concerned parties.
- Schedule all mandatory training, leave and shift schedule ensure that daily operation is not affect.
- Ensure the Warehouse Team follows all relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions so that personal safety and safety of others is not jeopardized and a minimum level of product/service quality and environmental impact can be guaranteed.
- Manages & monitors set Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Turn Around Times (TAT’s).
- Ensure that all Repair item is process according to current policy and procedure.
- Prepare the Pick-Up and Delivery (PUD) schedule to ensure end user requirement is to meet in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all identify scrap item is properly process and all item for dispatch is properly pack and within the current policies and procedures.
- Sets standard for prioritizing & processing of all items that need to be deployment.
- Maintains all items identified for War Reserves.
- Attends meetings as per internal or external requirements.
- Works closely with Inspectors & Storekeepers setting priorities and objectives both long and short term.

- Assigns, coordinates and directs the work activities of the Warehouse section to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and promoting safety, plant housekeeping and employee morale.
- Strategically plan the daily operation workload that need to be complete in a timely manner.
- Measures and reports the effectiveness of employee’s performance through set KPI goal.
- Recommends policies and programs which guides the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
- Establishes a preventive maintenance to track down lapses and areas of improvements.
- Addresses safety/audit reviews findings pertaining to violations or hazards.
- Supports and drives a safe working environment and culture.
- Manages or creates a filing system of all documentations in order to facilitate future referencing and easy accessibility.
- Facilitates in updating the records and maintain files, both paper and electronic database.
- Provides feedback to upper management on the resolution of all received complaints to ensure all complaints are handled in a timely and professional manner.
- Accomplishes and maintains the safety and housekeeping checks in the working areas.
- Maintains an intensive network of internal and external customers.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
- Directs and manage the activities and work of direct reports to ensure that all work within a specific team is completed to the required standards and in line with GAL operating policies and procedures.
- Ensures direct reports adhere to and support all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls, promoting employee safety, legislative compliance and to promote a responsible environmental attitude.
- Ensure that accountability for the implementation of improvement opportunity is complete within the assigned deadlines.
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
Eligibility Requirements for Role of Supervisor Aviation Logistics
The requirements for job role of Supervisor Aviation Logistics are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an aerospace maintenance and aircraft operating environment, preferably in military, of which at least 3 years in a similar position in an aviation distribution industry.
Knowledge Desired
- Knowledge of Purchasing as well as the shipping and receiving process and logistics including what material is hazardous or requires special shipping containers or packaging.
