GMG presently has a job opening for eligible candidates for the position of a Storekeeper (MEP) in Dubai, UAE. The role holder will manage and maintain the inventory of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials and equipment for efficient project execution.

Responsibilities of Storekeeper

  • Responsible for receiving, handling, recording and issuing materials as per the SOP and ISO procedures.
  • To ensure accurate accountability of all transactions to and from the store.
  • To undertake the day-to-day, supervision of store workers and store services to deliver a construction industry focused service.
  • The store officer is responsible for handling and storing materials as per the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • To facilitate periodic checks of the quantities of materials held in stock.
  • Be responsible for the security / safeguarding of stores / all materials / equipment and Assets held in stock.
  • Liaise with warehouse / project / construction management in to ensure that trends are accommodated within the mini-max criteria for non permanent materials and ensure the efficient use of materials to avoid damages / possible surplus.
  • Ensure the integrity of the store area is maintained, clean and tidy hazardous at all times.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of GCC experience in the Facility Management Field (preferably MEP).

Knowledge and Skills Desired

  • Able to demonstrate a collaborative work style, strong leadership, planning, organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Ability to take proper decision and action whenever any difficult situation arises.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and good analytical skills.
  • Able to execute clerical and administrative work with good planning and numeric skills.
  • A methodical approach to completing the assigned work.
  • Strong attention to detail.
