Responsibilities of Storekeeper
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and transactions using computerized systems or manual logs.
- Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure efficient use of space and easy access to items.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent stockouts and production delays.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to verify stock quantities and identify discrepancies or shortages.
- Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to track deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and update inventory records.
- Prepare and pack items for shipment or delivery to internal departments or external customers.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials or equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, logistics, and quality control, to support operational needs.
- Comply with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management, safety, and security.
Requirements of Storekeeper
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in inventory management or supply chain operations is a plus.
- Proven experience of 1-2 years as a storekeeper, warehouse clerk, or similar role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
