Responsibilities of Storekeeper

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and transactions using computerized systems or manual logs.
• Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure efficient use of space and easy access to items.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent stockouts and production delays.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to verify stock quantities and identify discrepancies or shortages.
• Coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams to track deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and update inventory records.
• Prepare and pack items for shipment or delivery to internal departments or external customers.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials or equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production, logistics, and quality control, to support operational needs.
• Comply with company policies and procedures regarding inventory management, safety, and security.

Requirements of Storekeeper 

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in inventory management or supply chain operations is a plus.
• Proven experience of 1-2 years as a storekeeper, warehouse clerk, or similar role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
