Job Description
Store Officer at American School of Creative Science Al Layyah Sharjah is responsible to maintain the order of stock rooms by receiving, unpacking, and inspecting merchandise as it arrives. Tag items for inventory control and distribute merchandise to the proper location safely. To maintain inventory and supplies to ensure accurate records of stock on hand and adequate stock levels in accordance with established guidelines; participate in routine manual duties involved in delivering and stocking supplies and materials.
Responsibilities of Store Officer
- Support Store Office in the reordering of standing order stock items in accordance with established guidelines maintaining minimum and maximum stock levels, projected usage and estimated date of delivery.
- Verify receipt of stock ordered, informing the Store Officer of any discrepancies on invoices for reconciliation with vendors; and record all receipt and pricing information in the log.
- Receive deliveries according to procedures; verify quantities and items received against packing slips, invoices and purchase orders; ensure merchandise received is in good condition.
- Assist customers in the selection of additional uniforms and/or school supplies.
- Deliver supplies and materials to various locations and obtain signatures for delivered items; set priorities for items to be delivered.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventories of supplies and materials; move and stock supplies and materials in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Maintain daily activity log to include records of delivery activity, and other dispatch information.
- Maintain storeroom and other assigned areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Provide Islamic and professional guidance to staff and students within the policies of the school.
- Reinforce the mission and ethos of the school and demonstrate high level of ethical and professional standards.
- Any additional tasks/project assigned to you by school or beam management.
Job Requirements of Store Officer
- Minimum of a High School Degree.
- Procurement and Inventory experience 1 year or above.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Good communication skills.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Soft Skills: Honest driven by integrity and strong values base.
- Excellent relationship management skills based on trust and respect.
- Good communication skills in verbal and non verbal.
- Trustworthy.
- Good at multi tasking.
