Job Description

Retailing industry in Dubai is currently seeking a diligent and organized Store keeper to manage their inventory and ensure efficient operations within their warehouse. Responsibilities of Store Keeper

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of goods and materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.
  • Properly label, store, and organize inventory in designated storage areas, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements using inventory management software or manual records.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring items are securely packaged and labeled for accurate delivery.
  • Coordinate with procurement and purchasing teams to replenish stock levels and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Conduct periodic audits and inspections of warehouse facilities, equipment, and inventory to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, logistics, and production, to coordinate inventory movements and support operational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and damaged goods, following established procedures and documentation requirements.

Requirements of Store Keeper

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional certification or training in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Proven experience of 1-2 years as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Clerk, or similar role, with a strong understanding of inventory management principles and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to generate reports, analyze data, and track inventory movements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and interact professionally with suppliers and vendors.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for handling hazardous materials, as well as experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed to support warehouse operations and meet business demands.
