Responsibilities of Store keeper

  • Receive and inspect incoming materials or products.
  • Record and document all incoming and outgoing items.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized or manual systems
  • Organization and Storage: Properly store items to maximize space utilization and ensure easy access.
  • Implement and maintain an organized system for easy retrieval of goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and
  • Ensure accuracy.
  • Issuing and Dispatching: Prepare and package items for shipment or delivery.
  • Ensure timely and accurate issuance of items to internal departments or external customers.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill material requests.
  • Monitor and report any damaged or defective items.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure that products meet the required standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Provide information on inventory levels and availability as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety and security protocols for handling materials.
  • Comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain storage equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and other relevant metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving inventory management processes.

Requirements of Store keeper

  • A high school qualification or equivalent.
  • Prior experience of 1 – 2 Years in retail, preferably in a management position, would be advantageous.

Skills and knowledge Desired

  • Must be organized and punctual.
  • Well-presented and professional.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
