Purpose of A Store Assistant
Receives, stores, and distributes all items, conducts staff accommodation inventory, and relocation / transfers housing furniture.
Job Duties of A Store Assistant
- Receives materials from vendors in accordance with LPO issued and reports discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Checks all delivered items for expiry before acceptance.
- Labels the chargeable supplies on a timely basis.
- Notifies the Assistant Director when issue excess quantity as per Department request.
- Tops up the items in all the Departments on the scheduled days.
- Forwards all paperwork on receipt of materials to the warehouse assistant for entries in the system on the same day.
- Notes down batch numbers and expiry date details on delivery notes or invoices wherever required.
- Store materials on the shelves in a manner whereby they can be issued on a First in, First out (FIFO) basis.
Qualification & Experience
- High School graduate.
- Preference is for Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-2 years of experience in the storage, distribution & supply.
