The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering specialized speech therapy services to inpatients, with a focus on addressing communication challenges, dysphagia, tracheostomy patients, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities of Speech Therapist

• Conduct thorough assessments of inpatients to identify and address speech, language, voice, dysphagia, and swallowing disorders.
•  Develop and implement tailored speech therapy treatment plans based on assessment findings, with a specific emphasis on patients with tracheostomy and dysphagia.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities, especially in tracheostomy patients.
• Educate patients and their families on effective communication strategies and swallowing exercises.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech therapy practices, particularly those related to dysphagia and tracheostomy patients, and actively engage in continuous professional development.

Role Requirements

For the role of Speech Therapist – Inpatient, following are the requirements:

•  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid DoH License as a Speech Therapist.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an inpatient setting, with expertise in dealing with dysphagia, tracheostomy patients, and swallowing disorders.
