Specimen Processor Mubadala Health Dubai

Mubadala Health presently has an opening for experienced and devoted candidates for the job role of a Specimen Processor. The successful aspirant will work at National Reference Laboratory (subsidiary of Mubadala Health) located in Abu Dhabi UAE. The incumbent will lead the specimen reception area, ensures safe and accurate management of all samples received in line with MH health and safety policies. Also responsible to ensures safe onward delivery of these samples to relevant laboratory departments.

Responsibilities of A Specimen Processor

• The Specimen Processor is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the different sample requirements as well as any special handling required.
• Follows the standard operation procedure (SOP)/Manufacturer guidelines for care and maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
• Triages, prioritizes and sorts specimens appropriately for accessioning and processing.
• Performs data entry login of patient demographics, specimen source and test orders from requisitions into the laboratory information system with minimal errors.
• Carries out sorting, checking and packing samples received from all hospital departments and distributes to correct testing lab.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are implemented and documented with regards to departmental procedures.
• Supports on going changes in a professional manner, contributes to a positive work environment and to the team effort of the department and company.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements for Role of Specimen Processor

• Diploma of Science or in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years as experience in a laboratory.
• Knowledge of laboratory practices, procedures, and terminology.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
