About the Role
The Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology role at Burjeel Holdings is a key clinical position focused on the independent management of obstetric and gynaecological patients across inpatient and outpatient settings in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. You will work collaboratively with consultant colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, patient-centred women’s healthcare. Furthermore, the role requires specific expertise in laparoscopic procedures and the clinical management of high-risk pregnancy cases. Moreover, Burjeel Holdings seeks board-certified female physicians who are licensed or eligible for UAE health authority registration.
Key Responsibilities for Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology at Burjeel Holdings Abu Dhabi
- Independently assess, diagnose, and manage routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological cases
- Perform laparoscopic and open gynaecological procedures under consultant supervision or independently as appropriate
- Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for general and high-risk pregnancy patients
- Conduct specialist outpatient clinics and contribute to inpatient ward management
- Collaborate with consultants, nurses, and allied health teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document clinical findings, treatments, and outcomes accurately in patient records
- Support junior medical staff and trainees in their clinical development
- Participate in departmental meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with UAE health authority licensing and clinical governance requirements
- Engage in continuing medical education and stay current with advances in OB/GYN practice
Requirements
- Medical degree with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid DOH, DHA, or MOH specialist licence (or current eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in laparoscopic surgery and management of high-risk pregnancy cases
- Female physician candidates are specifically required for this position
- Minimum 3 years of post-certification clinical experience as a Specialist or equivalent
- Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills
