DRHC is actively seeking an experienced and competent candidate for the role of Specialist Gastroenterologist to join them in Dubai. The hospital announced this job opportunity on December 27, 2023 and is now accepting applications from interested candidates. This is a full-time on-site role. The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for conducting consultations, diagnosing and treating patients with digestive system disorders, performing endoscopic procedures, interpreting results of imaging studies, participating in the management of patients with liver diseases, and performing capsule endoscopies.

Responsibilities of Specialist Gastroenterologist

• Diagnose and treat any disorders, diseases or irregularities that pertain to the digestive system.
• See patients initially in consultations, where they work to understand what the specific problem.
• Perform physical exam and work with the notes and recommendations.
• Work to understand the symptoms of each patient so that they can apply all of this information to a proper diagnosis.
• Perform test or may prescribe medication, as the treatment plan for each patient is as unique as each condition.
• Perform necessary surgeries that are required to fix any problems within this area of the body.
• Correctly diagnose and recommend treatment for those conditions.

Qualifications & Experience

Following are the role requirements for Specialist Gastroenterologist at DRHC:

• Medical degree and a valid license to practice in Dubai.
• Board-certification in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
• Experience in performing endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems is preferable.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and related fields.
• Ability to interpret results of imaging studies and perform capsule endoscopies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Fluency in Arabic and English languages is a plus.
