King’s College Hospital London – UAE is presently seeking an experienced Specialist Emergency Medicine to join them in Dubai. This position will provide a comprehensive Emergency Medicine service for King’s College Hospital-Dubai. The post holder will be independently responsible for the diagnosis and management of patients attending hospital with conditions requiring Acute Care and Emergency Medicine expertise.
Responsibilities of Specialist Emergency Medicine
- Manage a caseload which includes a wide range of health conditions within King’s College Hospital-Dubai Facilities.
- Ensure the highest standards of care for all patients.
- To adhere to the manifesto of care expected of all physician at King’s College Hospital-Dubai.
- To share responsibility for the leadership, organisation, and effective operation of the Department.
- Responsible for the clinical management of patients attending the ED, and will provide advice for staff in the ED.
- Act as Rapid Response Team Leader (Under supervision of a consultant) when on duty within the department, and lead cardiac arrests within the ED.
- To provide clinical leadership, supervise, teach and train junior medical staff, and be involved in the teaching of nursing staff, paramedics, medical students, etc., attached to the Department.
- To take an active part in Clinical Audit and other Clinical Governance issues.
- To improve clinical practice by peer review and changing working practices to maintain a high standard of medical treatment and care.
Qualification & Experience
Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Specialist Emergency Medicine:
- MD Or MBBS
- CCT or completion of a recognized specialist training programme is desirable.
- UAE Medical Health Authority License.
- BLS/ACLS/ PALS as per the specialty.
- Has worked in hospital or similar setting for at least 5 years.
