Group presently has a job openings for qualified and experienced candidate for postion of Testing & Qualification Manager. EDGE is an advanced technology group established to develop disruptive solutions for defense and beyond. Solving real world challenges, it is dedicated to bringing innovative technologies and services to market with greater speed and efficiency. This is a senior level full time role. The salary for this role ranges from 17000 AED to 35000 AED, which may be slightly negotiatable during the interview.

Responsibilities of Specialist Draughtsman

• Checking of Detail 2D Drawings, 3D CAD Parts and Assemblies including Data-Packs.
• Monitoring and upholding the standards of the drawing work produced.
• Oversee the Mechanical Data-Pack Maintenance on various Projects.
• Lesser extend to Design 3D Parts, including 2D Drawings.
• Mentoring and Assist all personnel with CAD Program and Wind-Chill PDM Link Program.
• Drawing office Project planning.
• Resources are identified and individuals to understand their responsibility, authority, accountability and the procedures for performing 3D CAD and 2D Drawings.
• Oversee the Mechanical Data-Pack Maintenance on various Projects.
• This function is related to fully identifying the Assembly level of  a product, e.g numbering.
• Record keeping and report generation relating to the status of the complete Data-Pack Assembly.
• To assure the product complies with its specified requirements.

Eligibility Requirements for Specialist Draughtsman

• Relevant Mechanical Qualification.
• Technical Qualification in National Diploma (N6) or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years in a Drawing Office including PLM programs.
• Minimum 15 years related Experience of Engineering industry.
• Comprehensive Experience in the Drawing office environment.
• Experience in UAE or Middle East is desirable.

Skills Desired

• Mechanical / Engineering back-ground.
• Knowledge of software CAD systems (CREO / Solid Works / CATIA).
• Knowledge of software CM system – Wind-chill / SAP.
• Knowledge of BS8888 Drawing standards.
• Knowledge of technical requirements e.g. 3D Design and 2D Drawings.
