Responsibilities as Specialist Dermatology

• Diagnose and treat skin conditions of patients irrespective of age, gender and ethnicity.
• Provide consultation and quality care in accordance with hospital’s regulatory guidelines.
• Provide consultation services to patients with skin conditions in the OPD.
• Admit patients with skin diseases that require inpatient care.
• Provide on-call emergency coverage for dermatologic emergencies.
• Perform the dermatologic procedures e.g. skin biopsy, PUVA therapy, skin biopsy, electrocautery, cryosurgery, electrocautery, excision, curettage, chemical peeling etc.
• Participate in department and hospital meetings.
• Comply with all infection control policies and practices.

Education & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Specialist Dermatology at Aster DM Healthcare:

• Degree of medicine from an approved medical school.
• Specialization in dermatology.

• Excellent diagnostic skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Able to interact with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of Arabic is Desirable.
