Job Description
NMC Corporate is seeking an experienced and dedicated Specialist/Consultant Pediatric Dermatology to join their esteemed medical team. The successful candidate will provide expert care for children with dermatological conditions, offering comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive dermatological services. The role involves both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for their pediatric patients. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 25000-50000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Specialist/Consultant Pediatric Dermatology
- Patient Care:
- Provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric dermatological conditions, including but not limited to eczema, psoriasis, acne, atopic dermatitis, and rare skin diseases.
- Consultation and Diagnosis:
- Offer consultations for pediatric patients with complex or rare dermatological conditions. Conduct thorough examinations, order relevant diagnostic tests, and formulate effective treatment plans.
- Treatment and Follow-up:
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients, which may include medication management, topical therapies. And education for both patients and families. Provide follow-up care and monitor treatment progress.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work in collaboration with pediatricians, allergists, immunologists, and other specialists to provide holistic care for patients with dermatological conditions.
- Patient and Family Education:
- Educate patients and their families on managing skin conditions, including preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and skin health maintenance.
- Surgical Procedures:
- Perform minor dermatologic surgical procedures as needed, such as biopsies, excisions, and laser treatments, in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Research and Development:
- Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in pediatric dermatology. Participate in ongoing medical research, contributing to studies and clinical trials when applicable.
- Training and Mentorship:
- Provide education and guidance to junior medical staff, including dermatology residents, medical students, and nursing teams. Participate in training programs and contribute to the continuous education of the clinical team.
Requirements for Role of Specialist/Consultant Pediatric Dermatology
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Postgraduate qualification in Dermatology (MD, DNB, or equivalent).
- Fellowship or specialized training in Pediatric Dermatology is highly desirable.
- Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology (where applicable).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric dermatology, with hands-on clinical experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of pediatric skin conditions.
- Proven experience in a hospital or clinic setting, providing pediatric dermatology services.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- In-depth knowledge of pediatric dermatology, including common and rare skin disorders in children.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients and families on complex medical issues.
- Proficient in conducting dermatological procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and laser treatments.
