Job Description
Talabat is looking for a Coffee Operations Specialist to join the team and focus on growing their delivery only coffee brand Everyday Roastery. The role will be responsible for managing the overall quality of food & beverages across the stores in UAE. You would be working closely with the operations team, bridge training gaps, guide in-store team members to serve delivery customers by implementing high standards.
Responsibilities of Specialist Coffee Operations
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures in stores, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards are met.
- Ensure that coffee products, including beans, brewed coffee, and specialty beverages, meet the established quality standards.
- Sense check food items such as bakery, sandwiches, cakes and establish a perimeter for staff to evaluate the Do’s & Don’ts for maximum quality output.
- Collaborate with the operations team to trace feedback from customers & deliver support training, refreshers to drive qualitative results.
- Collaborate with suppliers often to discuss opportunities & challenges for ensuring a steady supply of quality ingredients.
- Oversee the maintenance of in-store equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Evaluate food preparation & packing techniques within stores focused on delivering the best products to customers.
- Collaborate with the operations team to identify functional gaps and drive process improvement plans.
- Build & own SOP rollouts from ideation to implementation.
- Ensure SOP’s are consistently monitored and followed within in-store setup.
- Ensure that all operational processes comply with health and safety regulations, including food handling and preparation standards.
- Maintain and update documentation related to quality assurance processes and compliance with industry standards.
- Train new and existing staff on quality control procedures, operational processes, and customer service standards.
- Supporting Area Managers in new launch initiatives by training team members on products.
- Implement ongoing training programs to keep staff updated on the latest industry trends, quality standards, and operational best practices.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for the role of a Specialist Coffee Operations are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field.
- 5 years of experience within the coffee industry focused on training, quality, and in-store operations.
- Experience in a complex fast-paced environment.
Skills Desired
- Knowledge with roasting techniques, food handling, coffee preparation, quality control and equipment handling is essential.
