Specialist Cardiologist NMC Building Sharjah

A Specialist Cardiologist at NMC Healthcare in NMC Building, Sharjah, Sharjah, UAE will provide specialized care to the patients according to current best evidence-based standards. This position is responsible for the specialized medical care of the patients. The incumbent is required to be involved in non-clinical medical center matters and care of any patient when required. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 20000-40000 AED/month.

Duties as Specialist Cardiologist

• Responsible for compliance to the ethical and professional standards set by the medical centre and regulatory authorities.
• Apply medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses, diseases, and infections in patients.

Clinical Service

• Decide the mode of treatment to the patient, if necessary, by utilizing the available/ prescribed diagnostic resources.
• Provide effective treatment based on the best available evidence. Refer the patients if necessary to another practitioner/specialist when this is in the patient’s best interests.
• Consult and take advice from colleagues. Prescribe medicine(s) or treatment, including repeat prescriptions, after acquiring adequate knowledge of the patient’s health status.
• Ensure all patients are entitled to care and treatment to meet their clinical needs.
• Adhere to a high standard of clinical consultations and physical examination(s).
• Recognize and function within the limits of own clinical knowledge and competence.
• Take all necessary action / steps to minimize the risk before providing treatment. Make suitable alternative arrangements for treatment in emergency situations, considering own safety, competence, and the availability of other options for care.
• Provide all relevant information about the patient, including their medical history, the results of the investigations, the treatment provided, current condition and any other information necessary for the continuation of care when referring a patient to another health care professional and follow the referral protocol.
• Take full responsibility for own professional practice and always be prepared to justify own decisions and actions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing comprehensive level of patient care in the scope of specialty and practice.
• Where applicable, participates in the oversight and professional development of medical staff.
• Participates in the educational activities of the Medical Staff as a whole.
• Participates in review and planning activities relevant to the development of the Specialty Service and the Medical Centre.
• Participates in activities and opportunities to promote the Specialty Service and the Medical Centre to the public and wider medical community of Emirate and the UAE.
• Fulfils professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of Specialty.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other medical centre staff.
• Work with other doctors as part of a team and strictly adhere to follow internal referral policy.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Strictly adheres to originations regulations and policies and avail your service as per the medical Center need prescribed by the center manager.
• Support and participate in continuous quality improvement and participates and contribute all quality assurance activities and programs like ACLS, BLS, and CME etc.
• Maintain confidentiality as per the agreement signed.
• Ahere to follow and work under the IT Security policies and procedure.

Qualifications & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Specialist Cardiologist at NMC Healthcare:

• Medical degree with specialization in specific field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• MOH license holder.
