An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, energetic and qualified Spa Therapist to join lifestyle team in Zabeel House by Jumeirah, The Greens. The main purpose of the role is to deliver professional and engaging wellness therapies and massage treatments in a safe & comfortable manner and provide the highest quality of service as per the company culture and standards as well as anticipate and meets guests needs and requests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction and establish and develop personal guest contact, promote feedback and be consistently proactive in anticipating guest needs and requirements.

Responsibilities of Spa Therapist

• Give a warm welcome to guests on arrival and register them into the log book.
• Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag and follow good hygiene habit at all times.
• Perform professional services according to standards with attention to detail and in a prompt timely manner.
• Advise guests of spa service programs, treatments and products available at the spa.
• Assist in promoting spa & body care products to guests and offer full product knowledge.
• Request, collect stock and supplies in accordance with minimum stock levels.
• Ensure all treatment rooms are fully set up before beginning a treatment according to standards and procedures.
• Communicate through appropriate guest cards any guest related matters, products or equipment needs, technical service requests, etc.
• Assist in keeping accurate written records of treatments and products used in view of repeat guests.
• Participate in on-going training, with assistance from your designated trainer and continue to study your skill.
• Replenish all necessary items in male/female spa promptly.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility.
• Serve as catalyst to promote spa services to Members and hotel Guests.
• Maintain current professional licenses.
• Report dysfunctional equipment to Assistant Manager in charge of Spa treatments.
• Work with the Team Leader in the formulation of plans for projects.

Requirements of Spa Therapist 

• High school graduate.
• Completed state required therapy anatomy and physiology course or internationally recognized therapy qualification
• Minimum 2 years of service experience in performing therapy services at a hotel / spa environment
• Certified Registered Massage Therapy Training Minimum 200 hours.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Ability to communicate fluently in the primary language of the workplace both verbally and nonverbally.
• Able to communicate effectively and to respond well (switched on) to questions and requests.
• Able to work in a team, i.e. caring about other team members and open towards other nationalities.
• Should be able to quickly learn and adapt to a new work environment.
