Job Description

Our Own English High School Sharjah Boys is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Social Studies Teacher Middle School. Responsibilities of Social Studies Teacher

  • Plan and deliver quality lessons to motivate students.
  • Create and utilize appropriate materials and the classroom environment to cater for different learning styles.
  • Show written evidence of planning and preparation on request. Establish and maintain records of curriculum and year plans, attendance, teaching resources, assessment plans etc.
  • Assess, record and report on the school development, progress and attainment of students, use assessment to ensure the curriculum meets the individual student’s needs.
  • Promote the general progress and well being of students and provide guidance to students on educational matters.

Job Requirements of Social Studies Teacher 

  • Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Education. (Distance or open university degrees are not accepted).
  • Minimum of two years experience in the same field of education.
  • Experience with the CBSE curriculum preferred but not essential.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
  • An excellent team player both within the department and across phases.
  • Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.
  • Good command of English..
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Subject knowledge.
