The Social Media Designer role at APCO Worldwide is to create and implement visual concepts and designs as per the clients’ requirements. This role is a one year project role, and a  secondment  to one of our top clients based in Abu Dhabi. Job ID for this vacancy is 686.

Duties Of Social Media Designer

  • Determine how best to represent a concept visually.
  • Determine which photographs, art, or other design elements to use.
  • Develop the overall look or style of a publication, an advertising campaign, or a theater, television, or film set.
  • Manage graphic designers.
  • Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, and graphics developed by other staff members.
  • Talk to clients to develop an artistic approach and style.
  • Coordinate activities with other artistic and creative departments.
  • Develop detailed budgets and timelines.
  • Present designs to clients for approval.
  • Manage projects and clients.
  • Design and develop multimedia-based layouts, graphics, animation, video, sound and/or content for clients’ use in presentations, video productions, multimedia programs, websites, and other electronic media.
  • Work with clients and project team to review and recommend design options, functionality, and programming needs.
  • Design Web interfaces, develops layout design and concept, selects and secures appropriate illustrative materials to be used.
  • Create engaging animations using After Effects & other animation applications.

Eligibility Requirements For Social Media Designer

The eligibility requirements for the role of Social Media Designer are as under:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant agency experience.
  • Banking industry experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent

Skills Desired

  • Must reside in Abu Dhabi or be willing to relocate.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic both written and verbal.
  • Excellent client and interpersonal skills; ability to manage independent client relationships and communicate effectively by phone, email, and in-person.
  • Well-versed in current events and headline news at local, national, and international levels.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, media databases and social media network.
