Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC presently has a job opening for position of a Smart Field Engineer in Abu Dhabi. The candidate is required to cooperate with Petroleum Development for optimizing the value of oil and gas fields’ production and reservoir recovery through the introduction of real time dynamic modelling and effective monitoring to achieve balanced injection and production processes. Work with Petroleum Development to use smart well completions and improve well surveillance facilities.
Job Duties of Smart Field Engineer
- Design and prepares programs for well tests such as multi-rate production/injection tests and isochronal/modified isochronal tests under smart fields domain.
- Coordinates and supervises testing operations and carries out preliminary interpretation and evaluation of test results.
- Participate in designing and preparing fit for purpose models to monitors oil/gas producing and water injection wells performance.
- Investigates and diagnoses well problems and proposes action requirements. Recommends workover for specific wells giving prognosis of each well and workover justification.
- Participate in designing, monitoring and the discussion of the performance of installed production equipment (Xmas trees, chokes, SC-SSSV’s, control panels, SSV’s/ actuators) and participates in trials of new surface and downhole equipment.
- Prepares technical background and summaries related to smart field concept for specific operational issues, as assigned.
- Issues may include highlighting problems in a particular equipment/system, investigating water injection failure rate, etc.
- Identifies and participates in the development of new technologies / solutions to improve operations practices. This includes evaluating the new technologies, selecting and recommending viable and appropriate solutions for implementation
- Participates in the commissioning and implementation of field trials.
- Includes monitoring testing activities, evaluating performance and operational results, drafting evaluation report and recommendations.
- Assesses present procedures and recommends changes to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Liaise with EOR team on the performance of artificial lift pilots and ensure alignment with the gas lift optimization project.

Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.
Experience
- 8 years’ experience in experience in petroleum engineering including work over, completion, well testing and production operations.
