Responsibilities of Site Manager

• Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Develop and implement site-specific work schedules and timelines to meet project milestones.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor site progress and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Lead and manage site personnel, including foremen, laborers, and subcontractors.
• Assign tasks and ensure team members understand their responsibilities and deliverables.
• Monitor the performance and productivity of on-site staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential issues or defects.
• Maintain accurate and detailed site records, including inspection reports and daily logs.
• Promote and enforce a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to educate the workforce on site safety.
• Investigate any on-site accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor project costs and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Review and approve purchase orders and invoices for on-site expenses.
• Minimize waste and control project costs while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Act as the primary point of contact for on-site stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Address and resolve any concerns or conflicts that arise during construction.
• Provide timely updates to project management and participate in progress meetings.
• Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
• Resolve technical, logistical, or personnel issues that may arise during construction.
• Ensure that any deviations from plans are documented and approved by relevant stakeholders.
• Perform any other related tasks required by the direct manager.

Requirements for Role of Site Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is a MUST.
• DEWA Approval is a MUST.
• Minimum 5 years of site management experience and overall minimum 12 years of experience in substations.
