Al Ain University invites applications for the position of Simulation Laboratory Supervisor within the Nursing College at its Abu Dhabi campus. This role is central to delivering high-quality, practice-based nursing education through the effective management of simulation and clinical skills laboratories. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing nursing students for real-world clinical environments by overseeing all aspects of simulation lab operations.
The Simulation Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the nursing simulation and OSCE laboratories. Core duties include planning, preparing, and facilitating simulation sessions and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) activities in coordination with nursing faculty. The supervisor will maintain all simulation equipment, mannequins, and clinical tools in optimal working condition, ensuring they are available and properly calibrated for scheduled sessions. Additionally, the role involves developing realistic simulation scenarios that align with curriculum objectives and supporting faculty members in integrating simulation-based learning into the nursing program.
Beyond direct lab supervision, this position requires maintaining accurate records of equipment inventory, usage logs, and maintenance schedules. The supervisor will coordinate procurement of supplies, liaise with vendors for repairs and upgrades, and ensure all lab resources comply with health and safety regulations. Managing student access, scheduling lab sessions, and providing technical orientation to both students and faculty are also key components of the role. The supervisor may also contribute to the development of lab policies and standard operating procedures in alignment with accreditation requirements.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Nursing or a closely related healthcare field. A valid nursing license is required. Applicants should have a minimum of two to three years of clinical nursing experience combined with two to three years of hands-on experience in a simulation or clinical skills laboratory environment. Familiarity with healthcare simulation technology and patient simulators is essential. Experience with OSCE coordination and simulation scenario development is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with academic faculty and clinical staff. Technical proficiency in operating and maintaining high-fidelity simulation equipment is required. The supervisor must be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced academic setting. A commitment to supporting student learning outcomes and continuous improvement in nursing education is paramount. Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an added advantage.

The university offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, annual leave, and professional development opportunities. Employees benefit from a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values innovation and academic excellence. The Abu Dhabi campus offers modern facilities and a supportive administrative infrastructure.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their application, including a current curriculum vitae, copies of academic certificates, nursing license, and a cover letter outlining relevant experience, to hr@aau.ac.ae.
