Show Technology Team Leader at Miral Experiences will be responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance to maintain and improve the audio, visual and lighting functionality, safety and appearance of all rides, attractions and facilities, with the goal of ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsibilities of Show Technology Team Leader

  • Manage and supervise a team of frontline colleagues, including their training, attendance, grooming, coaching, appraisals and personal development plans.
  • Ensure strict adherence to departmental policies, procedures and performance standards.
  • Forecast and maintain an adequate inventory of spares and consumables in the Maximo system.
  • Develop and evaluate departmental policies relevant to the current work environment.
  • Train the frontline colleagues to enhance their technical expertise and facilitate access to applicable training opportunities.
  • Update the Maximo system for all AVL transactions and obtain approvals for work orders, purchase orders, material requisitions, service requests, etc.
  • Assess and optimize manpower allocation in alignment with duty rosters.
  • Coordinate and facilitate projects initiated by contractors.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the AVL section.
  • Direct, supervise and mentor senior technicians and technicians to align their activities with departmental objectives and daily workloads.
  • Carry out instructions provided by the manager and director to achieve goals and targets.
  • Provide hands-on training to colleagues on the safe operation of equipment and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct timely, fair and constructive performance appraisals for colleagues, offering coaching and discipline as needed to enhance performance and foster personal and career growth.
  • Assign and delegate tasks as necessary and follow up on their completion.
  • Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and safe operating environment, promptly reporting any defects to the manager.
  • Conduct necessary communication briefings as required.
  • Ensure consistent completion of departmental checklists, including opening and closing checklists, initiate follow-up actions when necessary and appropriately file forms and records.

Requirements for Role of Show Technology Team Leader

  • Trade certificate of Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or good combination of experience and qualification.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • 3+ years in a similar theme park environment.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Decision making and problem-solving ability.
  • Clear understanding of both written and spoken English.
  • Physical fitness.
  • Primary and secondary color identification.
  • Good speaking and hearing ability.
  • Extensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas: projectors, QSC, Dante, show control systems, media servers and relevant certifications.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft 365 and Maximo or similar CMMS software.
  • Able to adhere to strict timelines.
  • Ability to understand one-line drawings and schematics.
  • Possess a firm knowledge of installation of AVL equipment and could use it.
  • Ability to supervise small teams.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 kg.
  • Ability to work in rotation shifts including night shift.
