Senior Waiter/Waitress Jumeirah Al Qasr

Jumeirah Al Qasr is looking to hire suitably skilled and devoted candidate for role of Senior Waiter/Waitress. This vacancy was announced by the hotel on 17 December 2023 and is open to receive applications.

Responsibilities of Senior Waiter/Waitress

• Greet guests with warm welcome and smile.
• Escort them to their tables.
• Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu.
• Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepar, describing ingredients and cooking methods, where applicable.
• Be aware of allergy information on menu items and inform guests where needed or inquired.
• Check guest’s identification to ensure they meet alcohol legal age requirements or requirements as per local law.
• Offer food and wine suggestions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately including any special requests. Inform Kitchen as per the request.
• Use established food handling and serving techniques as per Jumeirah standard.
• Responsible for cashiering service such as generating bills from the MICROS system/ presenting guests with fully supported bills or accounts that can be settled by pay approved method, including, and not limited to advance payment, credit/debit card payments, local and foreign currency.

Requirements of Senior Waiter/Waitress

The requirements of Senior Waiter/Waitress are as under:

• Food and alcohol handling certifications.
• At least 2-3 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a luxury hotel.

Skills Desired

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in English and a second language (Russian, German, Arabic or French) would be an added advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure.
