Senior Technician Maintenance ADNOC Abu Dhabi

ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) is presently seeking applications for the vacant post of Senior Technician Electrical Maintenance. ADNOC is a government-owned oil and gas caompany that was founded in 1971. It is responsible for the exploration, production, refining and distribution of oil and gas resources in the UAE. By production, it is the world’s 12th largest oil company. In 2021, the company had an oil production capacity exceeding 4 million b/d which is to be increased to 5 million bpd by 2030. Additionally, ADNOC has a presence in Dubai through its subsidiary, ADNOC Distribution, which operates gas stations and convenience stores throughout the UAE.

Job Purpose of Senior Technician Maintenance

Directs, controls, and participates in carrying out maintenance and repair of electrical equipment on offshore installation and / or marine craft. Additionally, his work covers maintenance and repair of dead/ live H.V and L.V equipment up to 11 K.V such as switchgears, transformers and associates and ancillary equipment.

Responsibilities of Senior Technician Maintenance

• Directs and supervises planned and breakdown electrical maintenance work carried out by electricians and contractors’ personnel on Company’s marine craft and / or offshore installations.
• Issues and controls isolation certificates/ electrical work permits in accordance with Company’s safety regulations as well.
• Diagnoses and rectifies problems in Synchronization of generators, Relays, Breakers, Transformers, Power controllers and frequency controllers.
• Basic support for IT and networking. Troubleshooting and rectify connectivity issues for Redline (ADNOC, Welfare net and Voice). Also, troubleshooting and rectify connectivity issues for SAFA Welfare net.
• Prepares and submit list of schemes and service require as part of budget preparation.
• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.

What you’ll do

• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.
• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.
• Diagnoses faults and guides Electricians in Welding machine, workshop equipment, kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Diagnoses and rectifies issues in SMATV systems such as dish antenna tuning, Head end stations and Decoder tuning.
• Retuning and reconfiguration of antennas for Redline, Safa Welfare net and TV antennas after every barge movement.

Education & Experience

• Technical Diploma or Secondary School certificate with a vocational trade certificate in relevant field.
• 6 years of experience.
