The Senior Storekeeper at University Hospital Sharjah performs duties to support receiving and shipping, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, and overseeing storage of surplus or expired inventory and property for the Hospital. Main Duties of Senior Storekeeper 

• Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital – Sharjah (UHS).
• Complies with all UHS policies and procedures and fire regulations .
• Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation program to assist UHS attain and maintain international accreditation standards.
• Receives and inspects all incoming materials and reconciles with purchase orders. Processes and distributes documentation with purchase orders. r
• Reports, documents and tracks damages/expiries and discrepancies on orders received.
• Fills material requisitions; assists buyer to order adequate supplies; delivers orders to Hospital and staff.
• Receives, stores, tags and tracks surplus/expired stock. Prepares lists for items to be returned, condemned or sold at auction.
• Receives and stores documents and confidential files; maintains record of approved document and confidential file destruction.
• Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Trains and directs the work of assistants.
• Self-development participate in internal orientation, mandatory, ongoing education programs. Attend external conferences, workshops, seminars and courses that will enhance and maintain a current knowledge base.
• Works any shift as per the duty roster of the Materials Management Department when designated.
• Perform general store keeping and warehouse duties; maintain accurate manual and computer records.
• Perform physical labour; understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Maintain cooperative working relationships.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

Following are the requirements for the role of Senior Storekeeper at University Hospital Sharjah:

• Graduation from high school minimum.
• Graduate of Relevant Diploma Program Preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Experience in a Hospital.
• MOH Required for Pharmacy Store Only.

Job Skills

• Computer literate.
• Familiar with modern warehouse procedures, including methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials; basic stock inventory procedures; requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, freight tags, and the use and meaning of each; computerized warehouse record keeping systems. 
• Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
