Responsibilities of Senior Shift Engineer

• In the absence of the Engineering Manager, overlook and control daily operation and administration of the Engineering Department.
• In the absence of the Engineering Manager, overlook and control daily utilities.
• Assisting the Engineering Manager on required daily operation and project overlooking and executing.
• Overlook and control maintenance work and day-to-day operation on a timely basis by following hotels standard operating procedures.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to calls from the Guests in House.
• Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc. following PMP regulations.
• Prioritize the maintenance issues, e.g.: to attend the breakdown of plant and machinery on priority.
• Monitor fire Alarm / Life Safety System systems as necessary, updating Engineering Manager about the system status.
• Maintain a daily logbook of work done during the shift and monitoring of Shift Engineers to do the same.
• Delegate duties to other technicians and contractors with constant follow up on the status until the project is completed.
• Overlook and maintain tools, equipment, and working areas good condition.
• Overlook and maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Provide pieces of training to other Engineering Department members of the staff through the sharing of knowledge and skills.
• Perform any other job assigned by the Engineering Manager as and when required.

Requirements of Senior Shift Engineer

The requirements of Senior Shift Engineer are as under:

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Experience required by position is from 1 to 2 years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance.
• Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications.
• Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
