A Senior Sales Officer at Daman – National Health Insurance Company is responsible for achieving personal sales targets as set by the management for renewals and contributing in team target achievement. The role holder will provide business advice and consultancy to clients in effective manner with introducing value-added services to accounts above AED 500k such as wellness programs, screening program.

Responsibilities of Senior Sales Officer

  • Achieve monthly activity targets as communicated as set by the management.
  • Consistently contribute in strengthening the Sales channels for progressive results.
  • Maintain quality of service by implementing the department’s set standards, specified policies and procedures.
  • Use Daman’s sales tools to identify, evaluate and to explore opportunities for growth (Cross sell and upsell).
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve positive results.
  • Continuously build positive relationships with all corporate clients through scheduling regular meetings to ensure customer satisfaction (once every 3 months for SME Accounts below AED 1 Million and once a month for VIP accounts).
  • Identify products and service enhancements by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors, collect feedback and update management.
  • Conduct inductions for existing or potential clients.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of company’s products, pricing, policies and procedures to educate clients.
  • Regularly report to and update management on sales progress and status of the assigned portfolio and engage on monthly/weekly basis.
  • Assist new Business Relationship officers in training i.e. sales presentation and mock sessions and conduct job shadowing.
  • Deputize the Supervisor during his/her absence or as when delegated and act as a team leader to assist the Supervisor in taking over tasks with limited complexity.
  • Travel within UAE as per business requirements.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

The prerequisites for the role of Senior Sales Officer (Outbound Sales) are as follows:

  • Minimum high school.
  • Diploma or higher degree in any field is preferred.
  • LOMA or CII certification is preferable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales.
  • Experience in health insurance or insurance concepts in general is a must.

Skills and Competencies

  • Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of health insurance concepts.
  • Good knowledge of the local market, particularly regarding Employee Benefits (EB).
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork.
  • UAE driving license is a must.
  • Flexibility to travel within UAE.
