Responsibilities of A Senior Pipeline Designer

• To promote safe behavior at all times.
• To support Lead Pipeline Engineer in developing cost effective pipeline design & drawings.
• To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
• To coordinate with other disciplines for interdisciplinary checks.
• Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of engineering.
• To prepare pipeline route studies, desktop studies based on survey inputs.
• To prepare Pipeline Overall Route Maps, Key Plans, Alignment Sheets, Station Approach drawings Alignment sheets, pipeline typical construction drawings, etc. in accordance with project specifications, international cods & standards.
• Preparation of Pipeline Detail / Bulk MTO.
• To carry out detailed high quality site visits, pipeline route surveys and associated data collection.
• To compile site visit/route survey report as required.
• To co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of pipeline design / drawings development.
• To provide technical support to site as required.
• Familiarity with key pipeline design codes and standards.
• Preparation of Piping input Drawings for On-plot / off-plot interface Areas at Process Plant.
• Coordination with Topographical Contractors and Site personnel for preparation of AFC Alignment sheets.
• Must be eligible and willing to make occasional visits to Basra, Iraq.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Senior Pipeline Designer are as under:

• Diploma or HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant subject).
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Last 3 years hands-on smartplant 3D.
• Experience in FEED, Brownfield, Upstream Oil.
• PDS / PDMS experience required.
• Experience in Site Survey Activities and techniques.
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
