Purpose of Senior Officer Windows Platform

• Support implementation and maintenance of windows environment.
• Support the design, implementation, support & maintenance of Centralized Active Directory and ADS based applications, collaboration, privilege access management, symantec EV, Hyper V Virtualization.
• To manage and control spam filtering, policy based filtering, AV scanning, not allowing email server as redlisted in global spam DBs like spamhaus, spamcorp etc.
• Support MS exchange, active sirectory and single sign on.
• To evaluate & recommend IT hardware / software based on business needs, manage Hyper V Manager, cluster console & system center.

Responsibilities of Senior Officer Windows Platform

• Architecture and Technology Recommendation: Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and research and recommend appropriate architecture for server/storage hardware, operating systems to ensure proper functioning of corresponding middleware and application systems.
• Manage Technical Fault Resolution: Manage, supervise and if needed, be technically involved in research, planning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrade of hardware and software interfaces with the operating system. Analyze and evaluate present or proposed business application systems and procedures or potential problems to ensure efficient and highly available business application systems.
• Ensure Upto Date Documentation: Ensure that detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes are maintained and updated regularly.
• Manage Target SLA Adherence: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration.
• Manage Monitoring & Preventive Maintenance: Manage monitoring of performance, errors and resource usages and proactively resolve the issues detected during the monitoring and through periodic maintenance activities.
•  Systems Security: Manage Enterprise servers properly against viruses and other malware. Keep Anti-Malware signatures current. Security administration, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, MS security patching tasks in coordination with other IT Team.
• Knowledge Sharing and Teambuilding: Provide assistance to train and develop other team members to build their capabilities to support the Unit’s efficiency.
• Vendor Management: Conduct regular vendor performance review meetings and introduce competent vendors/suppliers to NBF for Servers and Storage domains ensuring that NBF is always getting good value for money for its investments.
• Problem, Change  Management: Manage assigned problems in the area of IT infrastructure  effectively and efficiently.
• Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory Support: Provide Support for MS Exchange and AD.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor degree in IT or any related qualification.
• 1-4 years experience in a similar role in a reputed Bank.
• Strong background in server hardware platforms, including Windows domains, SAN’s, VMware, IIS, SCCM, and ISA.
• Experience in Server Security.
• Experience in Storage administration.
• Experience in Exchange Server administration.
• Experience in Server patching.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery Planning.
• Experience in supporting Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory.
