Job Description

Senior Officer Network Planning at Flydubai in ENI Sapphire Tower Office number 6, Al Ittihad Road. Port Saeed, Deira Dubai, UAE will assist with a wide range of strategic network planning tasks conducted by the department to help improve and optimize flydubai’s network, whether researching new route opportunities, analyzing existing routes, or looking at other ways to improve aircraft utilization and network profitability. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 10000-20000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Senior Officer Network Planning

  • Research new airports and conduct route evaluations to identify financially viable new routes.
  • Assist with the production and coordination of strategy projects and initiatives (e.g. long term plans, future hub opportunities, fleet acquisition, aircraft reconfiguration etc.) internally and with other departments and stakeholders, developing written reports or presentations.
  • Review and analyze weekly and monthly route results to flag up anomalies, emergence of competitive trends, opportunities and threats.
  • Prepare and develop management reports, e.g. market share and connections as well as analysis for monthly financial results meetings.
  • Identify, source and maintain statistics that will add business intelligence to the planning process, e.g. tourism statistics, schedules data, traffic statistics.
  • Assist as needed with fleet planning exercises such as new aircraft assessment, cabin reconfiguration and potential changes to the fleet mix.
  • Prepare the Budget Operating Plan documents for distribution to senior management.
  • Assist with other network planning strategy projects as required.

Requirements for Role of Senior Officer Network Planning

  • Minimum degree level qualification in Economics, Business, Mathematics, or Science discipline.
  • A Post graduate qualification in Aviation/Airline Management preferred.
  • 4-6 years’ experience in a competitive commercial airline environment.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a Network Planning/Scheduling role.
  • Candidates with similar experience from Commercial Analysis or Financial Analysis backgrounds would be considered provided that their current role provides them exposure to both cost and revenue analysis.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Must be expert in Excel statistical techniques, using pivot tables etc., and capable of analysing large data sets.
  • Candidates must have a sound grasp of aircraft performance and airline economics. Solid understanding of commercial, operations and finance roles within an airline.
  • Sound understanding of network planning.
  • Problem solving skills are critical to the role.
