A Senior Data Management Officer at Daman – National Health Insurance Company will execute analysis of MIAD audit results and performance. The role of will prepare audit reports and trend analysis. Responsibilities of Senior Officer Data Management

  • Develop and implement new system advancement to enhance audit accuracy and operational efficiency (e.g. sampling scripts, reporting tool).
  • Compile and analyse audit related data and prepare and maintain an audit repository.
  • Execute automation of audit checks.
  • Evaluate manual and automated audit procedures for workflow efficiency; identify needed process improvements and analyse system design alternatives for new existing systems.
  • Define / document audit logic for end-users to follow and for translation into programming language.
  • Develop audit programs and maintain up-to-date knowledge about audit tools and techniques.
  • Prepare and deliver oral presentations concerning automated audit scripts for hand-over.
  • Provide data analytical support to the team.
  • Participate in the audit planning and organizing of audit activities.
  • Communicate audit analysis reports and automation progress on regular basis.
  • Provide input to new strategic audit initiatives and new business developments at request and will be expected to successfully lead medium to complex projects assigned to him/her.
  • Deliver high quality customer service and respect medical and work ethics at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

Following are the prerequisites for the role of Senior Officer Data Management at Daman:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field. Degree in Computer Science/ programming, Statistics/Mathematics or Medical/Paramedical is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the healthcare industry in Data management (hospital records, authorisations and/or claims) OR Data analysis/ reports/automations (e.g. SAS, Oracle).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic understanding of CPT4 and ICD9 CM coding systems.
  • Good business understanding and background.
  • Good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage.
  • Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem solving skills.
  • Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work and able to “think out of the box”.
  • Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Able to manage a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goals and deliverables.
  • Good knowledge of health insurance concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of Authorisation and Claims Adjudication systems and other clinical coding systems.
  • Very good knowledge of standard data analysis and reporting programs, e.g. Crystal Reports, SAS and basic understanding of other related IT Solutions.
