Mediclinic is presently looking for an experienced candidate for the role of Senior Occupational Therapist at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital Dubai. This job opening was recently announced by the company with the ID 46640. The role holder will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to adult and paediatric patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team according to company standards and in line with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities of Senior Occupational Therapist

• To provide comprehensive, professional Occupational Therapy services to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. This includes injury management and rehabilitation and functional rehabilitation programmes.
• To conduct activities of daily living (ADL), workplace, ergonomic, risk and functional assessments.
• To provide education to patients, care givers and family members, including colleagues, on occupational health and safety.
• To ensure accurate and timely documentation related to patient treatment.
• Provide general administrative services related to reports and other function necessary to ensure effective operations in the department.
• To guide and mentor colleagues in the department, including the orientation and training of new team members.

Role Requirements

Following is the eligibility criteria for the post of Senior Occupational Therapist at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A MSc degree in Occupation Therapy will be an advantage.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the role, post qualification.

• Knowledge of Equipment and adaptation assessments.
• Understanding of Facilitation of learning and development interventions.
• Hand therapy practices and related management of occupational injuries.
• Manual handling and general ergonomic principles.
• Time management skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Wheelchair assessments/adjustment skills.
